Snakeman Raymond Hoser is running for the State seat of Warrandyte in the Aug 2023 by-election.
Known to most people as the local Snake Catcher who has kept Manningham residents safe from venomous snakes 24 / 7 for more than 40 years, Hoser says it is now time to deal with the snakes in State Parliament.
Running as a successful businessman, the Snake Man is campaigning for honesty and integrity in government and an end to nepotism by the major parties.
Married with 2 grown up daughters, the Snakeman has been a local Park Orchards/Warrandyte resident for more than 20 years. He knows what locals want and need from government.
He also knows that they do not want from the government.
The Snakeman appeals to people who would normally vote Liberal, but want a local representative, representing better Liberal ideas and policies, instead of a party hack parachuted in to a “safe’, “Liberal seat” who does not live in the electorate and has zero real interest in the electorate, beyond feathering her own nest.
The Liberal Candidate Nicole Ta-Ei Werner is a failed candidate from elsewhere in Melbourne, parachuted in to secure a “safe” “Liberal seat” for the party, with no successful business record outside of politics and it is likely she will only be working for the toxic Liberal Party and with less interest in Warrandyte locals than even the last Liberal Party hack, Ryan Smith had.
Because the fascist Labor brand is so despised by most Victorians at present, it is unlikely the ALP will even field a candidate, knowing they have absolutely zero prospect of winning the seat.
Relevant to the local Warranyte area is that the Snakeman Raymond Hoser’s environmental credentials are unmatched. He has authored and contributed to dozens of books, including the best sellers “Endangered animals of Australia” (Raymond Hoser, 1991) and “Smuggled, the Underground Trade in Australia’s Wildlife” (Hoser, 1993), as well as hundreds of peer reviewed scientific papers.
The Snakeman has also discovered over 1,000 species of reptile, frog, mammal and fish, globally (being more than anyone else alive) including several species of reptile and frog native to Warrandyte and north-east Melbourne and over 30 species from Victoria.
Some of these are threatened with extinction and the Snakeman will push for better environmental protection both locally and state-wide.
The Snakeman admits that to beat the Liberal Party machine, that has virtually limitless funds and also has effective control over the local media and the all pervasive News Corporation, will be a big ask.
He knows that the so-called mainstream media will either starve his campaign of oxygen by pretending he does not exist, or will vilify him with false claims to divert votes elsewhere.
The mainstream media only ever supports the two major parties as they pay for their advertising and let them minimize their taxes the rest of the time.
However beating an outsider parachuted in to take over the seat of Warrandyte for the "Liberal Party" is a challenge worth taking on and something all local residents should be fighting for. Had the Liberal Party nominated a local person from the local area and with a genuine interest in the electorate, instead of a party hack, the Snakeman would not have run for the seat of Warrandyte and simply let the by-election take its course. But eventually nepotism needs to be stopped and this by election is one such time.
Anyone who would like to assist the Snakeman in securing the seat of Warrandyte for the locals rather than letting it be taken over (again) by the Liberal Party machine and a party hack parachuted in from outside the electorate, especially with respect of campaigning and handing out how to vote material is asked to get in touch.
